Morrisons' Jalfrezi sauce contains no artificial colours or flavours, and is suitable for vegetarians. So, you can use it for the basis of a hearty vegetarian curry - just add your own selection of vegetables. If you prefer a meaty curry, then chicken, turkey or lamb will all work really well.

Ingredients
Reconstituted Tomato Purée (27%), Water, Tomatoes (19%), Onion (13%), Mixed Peppers (8%), Spices, Modified Maize Starch, Dried Onion, Coriander, Rapeseed Oil, Sugar, Salt, Acidity Regulators (Citric Acid, Acetic Acid), Onion Purée, Concentrated Lemon Juice, Colour (Paprika Extract), Garlic Powder, Cumin Seed, Bayleaf, Black Onion Seeds
Cooking Guidelines
Hob - From Ambient. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving.
Serves 4. Heat 1 Tbsp (15ml) of oil in a frying pan or wok. Once hot, add 500g of diced chicken breast and fry for 3 minutes until lightly browned. Stir in the jar of sauce and simmer gently over a medium heat for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked. Serve with rice.

Was not disappointed, a really spicy Jalfrezi sauce , would keep buying .

Smells good... tastes meh!
Opening the jar I had high expectations, however after cooking the curry I was left disappointed. The sauce was very watery which really lacked flavour. Oh well, I will try a different sauce.

Sour taste
We have used this product before, but the latest jar was very sour/acidic to taste. Has the recipe changed, or was it a bad batch?

Changed for the worse
Used to love this sauce but the recipe has definitely changed. Thin, almost watery sauce and not particularly nice flavour.

Jalfrazi sauce
Don’t know why Morrison’s have changed recipe for this, it was great. Was classed as hot now medium. Now is watery and doesn’t taste the same. Nowhere near as good as previously
