Watery Tomatoes

I agree with the previous customer review, the quality of this product is no longer what it was. It used to be labelled as Italian tomatoes which is no longer the case and the sauce is very watery. The product used to be of a much higher standard and with an own brand price which was a plus. I ordered the Italian ones online every week and then I was given these but with no suggestion it was a substitution so I gather they've just changed the quality and not for the better.

Italian Tomatoes?

This product used to carry the Italian Flag guaranteeing Italian content by the Italian Govt. I note the flag has disappeared from the packaging and regretfully the quality has gone down.

Its chopped tomatoes in a tin!

As the title says, they are tomatoes in a tin chopped up. They just don't come in a tin overpriced like other chopped tomatoes. Great tasting with good consistency and the tin comes with a ring pull for convenience. Quality of product is very good, but the winning factor for me is the cost, excellent value!

Good quality

These tinned tomatoes are better quality than other supermarket's own brands I have tried. The tomato juice is nice and thick. The value is good too. I agree with another review, the tins are sometimes badly dented so you need to check carefully when picking them off the shelf.

Not worth buying

There were a lot of under ripe chunks that were part of the tomato nearest the stalk, even the canning process didn't soften them. Had to throw them away.
