I opened a packet the other day that was two weeks short of its expiry date. Two days later already mouldy in the middle and I didnt notice it until I had sprinkled it over a cauliflower cheese then had to pick it all off that added to my annoyance. It doesnt happen wit( the cheddar so why with mozzarella . It tastes ok but I would advise buy 2 small packets and use it all each time xx
Great for pizzas and pasta bakes. I always freeze it and use it straight from frozen. This way it keeps for ages and I always have a supply for last minute dinner ideas.
The bag is too large for our purposes and was delivered with only a day left. Most of it ended up in food waste.
I've bought this a few times now but i find it goes mouldy pretty quickly. the date on my last bag reads 23rd, it's only 15th and it's mouldy. I'd opened it bit resealed it well. normal cheese doesn't perish that quickly so it must be whatever the cheese is coated in. I wish Morrisons would stock hard blocks of mozzarella for pizza.
I used it for almost a week after opening the package and it was great. With other brands, I found that the taste changes over the days but I was very surprised this was not the case. Although the taste is mild, we used it with fajitas, omelettes, pizza, even put some on tomato soup and it was tasty.
Really creamy taste, very mourish and melts well on top of jacket spuds and pasta.
