Awful
It was in date but all the mild flavour it did have was vinegar. Won't buy again

Nice flavour
Actually did taste of black bean. Not sickly sweet as most Chinese sauces. Would recommend adding some fresh garlic and ginger, salt and pepper for a fuller flavour. NB Content suitable for four noodle bowls and freezes well.
