Ingredients

  • 1 cup of popcorn kernels
  • 75 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 packet of seaweed flakes

Method

  1. Step 1

    Add the vegetable oil to a large pot.
  2. Step 2

    Cover and put on a medium-high heat for 2 minutes until the oil is at cooking/popping temperature.
  3. Step 3

    Add the popcorn kernels.
  4. Step 4

    Cover and cook the popcorn, you will hear the kernels popping (DO NOT REMOVE LID AT THIS POINT).
  5. Step 5

    Wait 60/90 seconds to cook, shaking the pot occasionally until the popping slows down.
  6. Step 6

    After about 2 minutes, and once the popping has slowed down, take off the heat and take the lid off the pot. This lets the steam out and keeps the popcorn crisp.
  7. Step 7

    Add the seaweed flakes. Toss until completely coated. You could also do this in a large paper bag.
  8. Step 8

    Eat and enjoy.
