
Panettone French Toast

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp of caster sugar
- 1 dusting of icing sugar
- 0.5 tsp of vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp of cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 50 ml of semi skimmed milk
- 2 tbsp of hazelnut chocolate spread
- 1 scoop of cranberry sauce
- 1 knob of unsalted butter
Method
Step 1
Beat together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Spread 2 slices of panettone with the hazelnut chocolate spread and sandwich with the other 2 slices. Dip both sides of the sandwiches into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak in well.Step 2
Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan, add the sandwiches and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and heated through. Dust with icing sugar and serve with cranberry sauce.
