Oriental Lamb Stirfry

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
  • 30 ml of runny honey
  • 90 ml of worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped flat-leaf parsley
  • 400 g of fresh egg noodles
  • 300 g of stir-fry vegetables
  • 2 pinches of pepper
  • 400 g of lean lamb leg steaks, cut into stir-fry strips
  • 1 tsp of chinese 5-spice powder
  • 0.5 tsp of dried chilli flakes
  • 1 piece of fresh root ginger, use a 2.5cm piece then peel and finely chop
  • 2 tsp of rapeseed oil
  • 1 large garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 pinches of salt

Method

  1. Step 1

    To prepare the marinade; in a shallow bowl mix all the marinade ingredients together. Add the lamb, stir to coat, cover and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Step 2

    Heat the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan or wok, remove the lamb from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, tossing frequently.
  3. Step 3

    Add the reserved marinade,the stir- fry ingredients and noodles, toss gently and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Season, if required.
  4. Step 4

    Garnish with the parsley and soy sauce, if used and serve immediately.
