Ingredients
- 300g frozen/fresh white fish fillets
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 4 tbsp water
Method
Step 1
Cut the fish fillets into small pieces.Step 2
In a bowl, combine the plain flour, cornflour, salt, and red chilli powder. Gradually add the water, stirring continuously, until a smooth batter is formed.Step 3
Dip each piece of fish into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated.Step 4
Heat a pan or deep fryer with enough oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the battered fish pieces and fry until golden brown and cooked through.Step 5
Remove the cooked fish from the oil using a slotted spoon and pop onto some kitchen paper to remove excess oil.Step 6
Serve the fish pakoras hot with your favourite dips or chutneys.
