These crispy fish pakoras By Customer Assistant Aisha are super easy to make and packed with flavour. A proper treat for the whole family. Get frying!

Ingredients

  • 300g frozen/fresh white fish fillets
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 4 tbsp water

Method

  1. Step 1

    Cut the fish fillets into small pieces.
  2. Step 2

    In a bowl, combine the plain flour, cornflour, salt, and red chilli powder. Gradually add the water, stirring continuously, until a smooth batter is formed.
  3. Step 3

    Dip each piece of fish into the batter, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  4. Step 4

    Heat a pan or deep fryer with enough oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the battered fish pieces and fry until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Step 5

    Remove the cooked fish from the oil using a slotted spoon and pop onto some kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
  6. Step 6

    Serve the fish pakoras hot with your favourite dips or chutneys.
