Lovely mix
This is so handy & tasty. I make with potatoes & mixed frozen veg with the diced chicken. You have to chop the potatoes quite small or they don’t cook through. Fabulous to come home to all cooked & ready to eat :0)
more like a casserole
Not to my taste smells nice while cooking but not a lot of flavour.. better from a jar.
Bland and salty
Very bland and overly salty, would not buy again
A storecupboard favourite from now on!
This is a handy little meal to keep in. The packet suggests you put in chicken, red pepper, potatoes, spinach, onion and chopped tomatoes. The first time I made this I didn’t have red peppers or spinach to hand so I omitted them and it tasted delicious. I think you could add other stuff such as butternut squash, sweet potatoe, baby corn etc too. I like my sauces really quite thick and I have seen a few reviews which say it’s watery, so I’m assuming its the amount of veggies, meat juices or type of tinned tomatoes used making it that way, in that case nothing a bit of cornflour can’t solve. I think adding some mixed lentils would thicken it even more and add some nice texture too. The finished dish is lovely and flavoursome, really tomatoey and just the right amount of spice for me - not bland, enough to just feel the spices on the tongue, but not hot hot in the slightest. It’s ideal to keep in because the base ingredients are things I always have day to day I.e. potatoes, chopped tomatoes, chicken and onion, and it’s so quick to put together and can be left cooking for hours.
tasted of nothing
awful. baffled at how this has gained good reviews. followed the instructions to a tee and it was watery and tasteless.
salty
So easy to do smells nice and looks nice but waaaay to salty when I checked the salt on the packet I was very shocked to see how much was actually in there which was a shame as I wont be using it again even tho it tasted very nice the salt levels were just to high
