Disintegrates
Whatever they changed in the recipe is a disaster, it now melts and disintegrates rather than crisps up!
Great taste
Haven't found a good replacement so was eager to try this. The flavour was lovely but I cooked in a pan with some real bacon and I think that affected the cooking. I could not get it to crisp and it stayed rather mushy but I had it with potato cakes and really enjoyed it.
They've changed the recipe!
This used to be the best veggie bacon out there, but the recipe has recently changed and now it disintegrates and falls apart, what a shame! Still tastes OK but the consistency is not great.
my choice for bacon replacement
It's not exactly like regular bacon (it wouldn't be), but the taste and texture are the best I've tried, nice for breakfasts!
Not thrilled!
With all the questions about UPF out there I should've been a bit more wary but I liked the opportunity to add a slightly different flavour and texture. Cooked as directed it was a bit flat and chewy. Haven't eaten bacon for years mind, so it would be the same!
Bland boring bacon (fake bacon)
Tastes a little better than some vegan or vegetarian bacon but really falls short on flavours compared to the real thing. Still not a swap for me, I will stick with proper bacon... just less of it
