Not thick anymore
Been buyin these for prob 30yrs as my family love them, however I noticed they are smaller & not really thick anymore. Still taste nice but u can’t trust anyone these days, all slyly done.
Average
Average taste only. I've been grilling these as they don't appear to cook well in the air fryer.
Dog food
Terrible, didnt realise sausages could be this bad. Low meat content sourced from who knows where. Gave to neighbours dog.
Fine textured Irish pork sausages
Adding this to balance another review. These are great - but they are not like course textured English sausages - they have far less texture, being more finely milled. I prefer the chilled Richmond to the frozen - or I should say: it's easier to cook meat nicely from room temperature, than it is from frozen. These do *not* have more fat than most sausages; indeed, they have less fat per 100g (grilled) - 15g .v. 21g - than Morrison's The Best Thick Pork Sausages, which are 97% pork. And much modern dietary thinking doesn't focus on animal fats as being that evil, anyway. For those who are health-conscious - note that these have 10% wheat rusk; if you are looking for ultra-low GI, low inflammatory foods, another sausage may be a better choice (those Morrisons ones, for example, with their extra fat!)
Very little Pork
The amount of fat that drips away during cooking tells you what these are made of , apparently only 47% Pork so god forbid what the other 53% is made up of. They cannot be good for our health .
