Rebranded and resized... Why?

Disappointingly I see that Pringles have done what many other manufactures have done, they have reduced the weight of their product, so if sharing there is less to go around. These were branded as Sizzl'n and now rebranded as Hot. From a taste point of view they are nice, but why reduce the size by 10 percent, I'd much rather a 20p increase and keep the size of the product the same.... still they taste good.
