Piccini is a story of winemaking since 1882. The wines are grounded in tradition, yet vibrant and contemporary, providing an exciting choice of wines from Italy. We chose to call this wine "Collezione Oro" as a clear statement of our aspiration to bring to life a truly unique Chianti Riserva.

Piccini was founded back in 1882 by Angiolio Piccini who started with just 7 hectares. Piccini now has four separate estates in its portfolio and ranks as one of the most recognisable Tuscan brands worldwide with fourth generation Mario and Martina Piccini at the helm

Piccini

The Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes coming from the best sites are picked and fermented separately with an extended maceration. Having reached the ideal point of ripeness, the grapes are processed separately, at controlled temperature, undergoing a long maceration. The wine is aged for 9 months, 30% of the blend is aged in barriques and 70% in oak barrels. The wine is then aged in bottle for an additional few months before release.
