Regional Information

The success of the wine region stems from the near-perfect growing conditions that the area experiences as a Coastal Region. With consistently warm temperatures throughout the year, along with a cooling ocean influence, the vineyards have both the heat and breeze to ensure balanced wines. While the heat allows for ripe, structured wines, the breeze ensures sufficient acidity in both all the wines.

Vinification Details

Grapes were machine harvested and delivered early in the morning to the cellars. Bunches were carefully selected and sorted before the whole berries were transferred into stainless steel tanks for fermentation. After a 3-day cold soak the tanks were inoculated with a specific yeast to start the fermentation and 2 pump overs per day were conducted to extract enough fruit, colour and tannins for the final wine. After a 14-day fermentation the tanks were pressed and the components were blended together.
