Recipes
Just add:
Two medium eggs, cold water and a drop of oil.
What you'll need:
Two medium eggs
200ml cold water
Mixing bowls
A whisk or fork
A little oil for frying
How to make perfect pancakes:
1. Empty the batter mix into a mixing bowl.
2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with 200ml of water until they're combined.
3. Now, tip the egg and water mix into the batter mix, whisking as you pour.
4. Once the mixture is smooth, heat a little oil in a frying pan.
5. Pour a thin layer of batter evenly over the pan and cook for about a minute; then turn it over and cook for a minute on the other side.
6. Then slide your pancake carefully onto a plate, cover with your favourite toppings and tuck in!
For Yorkshire puddings, make the batter up in the same way. Pre-heat your oven to 220°C/425°F/Gas Mark 7 and place a Yorkshire pudding tin with a little oil in each compartment in to warm for about 15 minutes. Divide the batter equally between the compartments and bake for 20-25 minutes until your puds are risen and golden.
Top tip:
For light, crispy batter for fish or onion rings, try making your batter mix with ice cold fizzy water instead.
