Like this refreshing Rosé made with leading producer Chainier in the Loire. We chose this blend of Gamay and Cabernet Franc as it combines lovely red fruit flavours with an elegant style typical of Touraine wines.

History
Formed in 1973, Pierre Chainier is both a négociant and the owner of some 250 hectares of vines in the heart of Touraine, from which it sources classic Loire varieties.
Regional Information
Blended from predominantly Gamay and Cabernet Franc from vines situated to the south-east of Tours, on the slopes between the Cher and Loire rivers. The nature of the soils here is very varied, with "perruches" (flint clays), "aubuis" (clay-limestone on chalky soil) and sands on clays of the eastern zone; but also light gravel.
Vinification Details
Fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel vats, and there is no malolactic fermentation.

Great tasting wine at anytime of year served ice cold. Personal choice of course but it suits us very well. Thank you Morrisons

We didn’t especially enjoy this wine, found it sharp and acidic. Have had superior rose at this price point.

Cant grumble with the price- an inexpensive fresh rose, dry and not sweet. Nice!
