The inspiration behind The Best wine collection comes from our wine experts, who are passionate about sourcing exceptional quality wines from the world's finest wine producers. Like this Reserva Rioja produced in partnership with Bodegas Muriel. We use hand harvested Tempranillo grapes grown on old vines to produce our Reserva, ageing the wine for 30 months in oak barrels and 6 months in bottle before release.

Regional Information
The Rioja region benefits from a Mediterranean climate which is moderated by the Sierra Cantabria, a small mountain range which prevents clouds from forming over the area.

Vinification Details
Fermented in stainless steel temperature controlled tanks at 28ºC for 20-25 DAYS this wine is then aged for 36 months in 225 litre American Oak barrels.

Very enjoyable

Lovely flavour without being too heavy. Good fruit and not overdosed on oak. All rounder and good value when on offer

Great value for money.

Compared it to the equivalent Campo Viejo Reserva and this came out on top. A greater hint of vanilla and ripe fruit. Leaves a decent glossy hue in the glass and tastes slightly more refined.

Excellent

This really is an excellent rioja, especially for the price. It is sooo smooth and goes really well with a nice steak or roast beef. Some riojas can be very harsh, but this is really lovely.

Perhaps I didn't get a bottle from the best batch but a good all-round powerful wind but mine edged on being slightly acidic without the vanilla finish?
