The inspiration behind The Best wine collection comes from our wine experts, who are passionate about sourcing exceptional quality wines from the world's finest wine producers. Like the Rioja Crianza, made in partnership with Bodegas Eguia from carefully selected Tempranillo Grapes. Aged for 2 years with a minimum of 12 months in oak barrels to give the wine its deliciously creamy flavours

Tasteless Rioja

Purchased this wine today primarily because it’s Rioja and secondly it’s Morrisons “The Best”. I’m not sure the specialist wine connoisseurs tasted the same wine as we did. It is very watery and vinegar like. No taste to it. More a watered down grape juice than an enjoyable Rioja. Would not recommend. One star is stretching our generosity. Disappointing.

Avoid this one

Probably the worst example of Rioja I have had ever tried, I have been a keen connoisseur of Rioja for over 30 years and this one doesn’t deserve even 1 star. I had one sip and then my kitchen sink had the pleasure of the rest.

Great wine, very smooth and easy to drink. Our new favourite! Even better being part of a meal deal.

Rioja but very "vinegary"

Initially has that typical Rioja woodiness then gets very short and acidic - quite vinegary, certainly doesn't deserve "The Best" label. 'Came with meal deal and it ended up as a meal - Bourguignon!!
