Cooking Guidelines
Oven cook - From Chilled. Cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide. Please ensure that the product is piping hot throughout before serving. Do not reheat. Please remove all packaging before cooking/defrosting.
240°C, Fan 220°C, Gas 9, 55 min
Pre-heat your oven as shown. Pre-heat a baking tray in the oven. Remove the wellington and greaseproof paper from the tray. For best results: glaze the wellington with a beaten egg yolk and create 4 small vent holes in the top and another 4 small vent holes two on each side. Place the wellington on the greaseproof paper on the preheated baking tray. For medium cook: place in the oven on the top shelf and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 200℃ /180℃ fan and bake for a further 25 minutes. For well done add an additional 15 minutes to the final stage of cooking. Once cooked, rest for 10 minutes prior to serving. Chef's recommendation is medium.
