awful
Very dry
Absolutely terrible
Very dry, overwhelming taste was flour and they just broke up on trying to split. Tried to make the most of it but even with cream and jam they did not improve in any way and if it is even possible ruined the whole experience. I would never recommend anyone buy these.
Too dry
Lovely flavour, a fair amount of fruit, but so dry. Even copious amounts of butter couldn't save them. Not a wholly enjoyable eat. Might have been a rogue batch but it's put me off re-ordering. All imho.
Very dry and hard
Not nice very dry and hard
Get them fresh
When you buy them fresh and well within use by date these are the best scones out there. When I recently did an afternoon tea someone commented that they tasted homemade. I didnt claim them as my own. But theyre better than my own (Im no chef mind you). Love them and will keep buying.
Not bad
I used to get the savers ones and actually preferred those but they havent been available recently. These are okay, not too sweet. A little dry but i think all supermarket scones are. I split in half, sprinkle with milk or water and microwave for a few seconds which helps this.
