For best results, gently squeeze the pouch to separate the grains prior to cooking. Make a 2cm opening in the top of the pouch by tearing or cutting. Place upright on a microwavable plate. Heat on full power. Allow to stand for 30 seconds. Take pouch out of microwave and cut or tear open the top. Pour contents onto the plate and gently fluff up with a fork.
Warning
When removing from microwave after cooking, do so with caution as hot steam may escape.

Morrison’s Pilau microwave rice
Not a fan which is a real shame, it smells just how it should, however in many instances I found the rice was wrong; easy cook /long grain rice, just doesn’t work with pilau👀🧐🤔I tried it with different sauces, and I just wasn’t the same, I have one more to try, so I’ll see, if it still tastes the same, then I’ll leave it!😏😏🤷🏽♀️
Changed recipe
Didn’t release they’d changed the recipe until we started eating it. Tastes like those lemony flannels you get given after a curry. These used to be good. Weird artificial lemon flavour now?
Why change?
Used to love this rice - as good as more expensive brands. This new recipe version is awful. Not only is it the wrong type of rice for pilau but it clumps together even after stirring it with a fork. Also, watch out for the tear line - cooked two packs and the second I didn't notice the tear line was above the seal, so presto - exploding bag in the microwave and a badly timed cleanup job needed just over a minute later. Not recommended.
New is NOT better!
Avoid this "new" recipe. Just blandly awful.
different rice
agree with other customers, this is not pilau rice.
The smell
The smell alone was off putting, and taste not great either
