Empty contents into a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring frequently. Do not boil as this will impair the flavour.; Microwave - From Ambient. Cat E 850w, 2 min, Cat D 750w, 2 min 30 sec
Place contents into a non-metallic bowl. Cover and heat on full power. Stir half way through heating.

Not a traditional bean salad

A tin of bean salad traditionally contains mixed beans, so when I went to use this and found bits of disintegrated red pepper, sweetcorn and green bean, I was a bit disappointed. If you like your beans with sloppy bits of old veg that look like theyve been scooped from the drain, youll love this.

Add to tomato soup

Add to tomato soup with kale. Yummy hearty soup!

Great base for a filling salad

I wash these off in a colander. Then add a finely chopped brown onion. Depending on how I feel, I add mint, olive oil and lemon juice, maybe a tin of flaked tuna, pepper & salt. Alternatively, add diced new potatoes and a good Mayo. The possibilities are endless - can add one or more of... cold leftovers, fresh green beans, spring onions, lardons, streaky bacon, garlic, chives, coriander, top with roquefort cheese.
