Preparation and Usage
Recipe inspiration
Whizz together two handfuls of fresh basil with toasted pine nuts, garlic, parmesan cheese and olive oil in a food processor for a zingy pesto.
Cooking tips
Pick leaves as you need them, don't cut them with scissors.
Tear leaves instead of chopping them - they'll look and taste better.
Rinse in cold water before use.
Add at the end of cooking for maximum flavour.
How to look after your herbs
When you get your plant home, remove the sleeve and place it on a saucer in a sunny spot away from draughts. To keep it healthy for longer, water the saucer not the plant, so it can suck up what it needs.
Wash before use.

Fresh Basil
I normally buy this each week but in the last couple of months it has had black leaves and been unusable. Is it getting frost bitten?

Still going after months
Had this plant over 3 months and it's still going strong. Planted part of the plant with tomatoes outside and that is thriving. Keep the pot on a windowsill, water every day but don't let it stand in water.
