Morrisons Chickpeas in Water
These are the best tinned chickpeas I've ever had. Not a big fan of tinned goods but when you're cooking for one (like me) and don't have the energy to batch cook a pan of dried pulses either, then tinned pulses with no added salt are just as good. But Morrisons ones are the firmest and tastiest (3 other supermarket ones are just awful). I use them in salads, to make houmous, with pasta, curried, chilli, pan fried and even mashed up with added seaweed and a squeeze of lemon in a sandwich. They're my staple food and full of iron. Call me Popeye...
make excellent houmous
Bought these a few times and not experienced the previous reviewers issue. Make fabulous fresh houmous, and used them in a salad base to accompany steak. Lovely flavour and texture and for the price you cant go wrong (unless they turn up set in jelly which frankly sounds very unappealing - I can sympathise there).
Usually these are a regular on my shopping list, but recently I have found that they arrive set in a jelly, which makes them unusable.
