Terrible value
This was just a collection of fatty sinewy off cuts, won't buy again and certainly wouldn't recommend it! most of it went to the dogs.
Good for casseroles
This took a long time 3 hours to become tender enough to enjoy. We didnt get any sinew or nasty bits just good meat. Well be buying again.
Not Worth The Money or The Effort
This is a collection of offcuts that are simply not worth £12 per Kilo. The description "Diced" implies cubes but the pieces are mostly flat squares of meat, most fresh red with some rotting grey, attached to flat pieces of sinew. There was also a lot of water in the meat that prevented it from being browned in the pan. It contributed to a very nice gravy but hardly any of the meat was good to eat, even though most of the sinew cooked away.
lean beef
It was suppose to be lean beef, but there was so much fat on it, I had to spend ages cutting off the fat
Great meat for braising
Despite the bad reviews I found this perfect for stews, just needs long cooking. I cooked it for 3 hours and it came out perfect and tender
THE DOGS LOVED IT!!
That is all it is fit for - but for a dog casserole it is fine!!
