Preparation and Usage
Gently squeeze the pouch to separate the rice. Cut or tear a small opening in the corner of the pouch - about 2cm should do it.
Place the pouch upright on a microwavable plate and heat for the amount of time recommended for your microwave.
Remove the pouch carefully from the microwave and fully open the top.
Pour the rice onto a plate and fluff with a fork.
Dig in!
For a Filling Veggie Main...
Mix a pack of cooked basmati rice with a tablespoon of vegetarian pesto, some chopped olives and crumbled up vegetarian goat's cheese. Then, take two red peppers and remove the stems, hollowing out the centre.
Stuff the rice inside and bake for 10 minutes for a filling, meat-free tea.
Try it with an Exotic Curry
Fragrant basmati rice is the perfect partner with a tikka masala curry. Fry diced onion until soft, add a jar of Morrisons tikka masala sauce and simmer. Then add a tin of coconut milk and stir. Drop in your favourite fish and simmer until cooked. Go on - you know you want to.

For best results, gently squeeze the pouch to separate the grains prior to cooking. Make a 2cm opening in the top of the pouch by tearing or cutting. Place upright on a microwavable plate. Heat on full power. Allow to stand for 30 seconds. Take pouch out of microwave and cut or tear open the top. Pour contents onto plate and gently fluff up with a fork.
Warning
When removing from microwave after cooking, do so with caution as hot steam may escape.

Smells horrid
Used to be ok but its all lumpy and smells like soil now! The smell means I will switch to another brand
Morrisons microwave basmati rice
This is the best batch by far, and it tasted like basmati rice; 5010251601883, there are moments when one can’t be asked to cook rice so fir me, this is one of the best alternatives 👍🏾👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♀️
lumpy
Oh why did Morrisons stop stocking my favourite brand this is terrible it doesnt separate not nice at all and not a great taste shame as Morrisons own are usually good I now have to go shopping elsewhere just for my rice
As good as Bens.
Can't understand why Bens is so expensive, this is just as good, to avoid a lump just squeeze the pack a few times as advised in the instructions, common sense really.
Happy with the product
I read these reviews but still bought some because of the price. I havent had a problem with it sticking together, but I have been breaking it up before putting it in the microwave. As far as Im concerned it does exactly what it says on the tin.
I was pleasantly surprised
I really didnt expect much of this product as it was so cheap but thought it was worth a try - and was really pleasantly surprised. Dont quite understand the negative comments here unless I got a good batch. It tasted just the same as the expensive brands. Maybe needed fluffing up a bit More but thats it.
