slimy bits and big tough stems
used to love this salad, but last few months been off before opening. Slimy bits of green/red covering the good leaves that are left, mainly the dark red leaves that don't seem to last very long. Have binned most the last few weeks, also the red chard have and spinach have been too big with tough stems. Supposed to be baby leaf. Then xmas week delivered with 1 day left.
Always arrived squashed
This always arrived squashed and so the leaves get damaged and rot before you've opened the bag. It's not worth buying. The last bag was flavourless and I think it was picked too soon. Really stringy and horrid.
Earthy means tastes like mud
Be warned: when it is labeled earthy, like the ruby red chard, it literally means it. The Ruby Red Chard has a distinct muddy flavour. Enough to ruin a good sandwich or salad.
Depends on the picker\/packer
Bought weekly last couple of months and always eat day after delivery, but lately I have had to hand pick what’s edible. A couple of times I needed my salad spinner to remove excess water. I will have to find an alternative
lovely mix of leaves
Very nice, fresh and colourful. Just enough for two portions. Excellent buy.
