Brand Marketing
At Las Chicas (that means "the girls" by the way), we believe that women are the beating heart of Mexican cuisine. But here’s the thing, only 7% of head chefs worldwide are women (not cool right?). We can do better. From collaborating with Mexican chefs to develop our recipes, to supporting the next generation of female chefs with our Las Chicas Collective Initiative, we have big ambitions to champion women and help close the culinary gender gap. Preparation And Usage
Pork Tacos with sweet guajillo chilli and tangy pineapple. Topped with zingy salsa verde. A true Mexican classic.
Step 1
Prep: Slice the pork and mix with the Las Chicas Al Pastor Cooking Paste (the smaller sachet) in a bowl - set aside and let the pork marinate while you prep the rest. It you have time - leave to marinate for longer for even fiercer flavours! Dice the pineapple, the onion, and chop the coriander - we'll use these later.
Step 2
Sizzle: Add a good glug of oil to a frying pan and cook the pork on a medium-high heat for about 4-5 mins, giving it a good stir as you go. Then turn the heat down and simmer on low for another 5-7 mins until cooked through.
Step 3
Heat: Get your Las Chicas Tortillas nice and toasty by heating in a dry pan for 20 seconds on each side, or simply put them all in a microwave for 20s.
Step 4
Assemble: Taco time! Place your pork on the heated tortilla first, followed by the coriander and onion, some pineapple chunks, and finally a generous drizzle of the Las Chicas Salsa Verde.
Just Buy:
300g pork loin or plant based substitute
Half a fresh pineapple or 1 small tin
1 bunch of coriander
1 small onion
