Discoloured\/mushy.
I bought 4 when on offer , but I have handed the rest to a food bank. I personally would rather pay a little more to have quality (although who doesn't love a deal). Ordinary butter beans do make a delicious curry! Fry off spices with tomato puree, any veggies you like, water, then lastly add the beans, heat thru for 5 mins. Done! ✅
Mushy
These are really soft and mushy, half of them hadn't even retained their shape in the tin.
Misleading label
The label says that the drained weight of beans is 240g, but it's only 200g.
Quality has deteriorated
used to be good but quality is down. not sure even if these are butter beans as they have a yellowish colour instead of being white.
Not best quality
I always get dented tins, fine on the sides, but had to throw away two as dented on seal previously, when I let customer service know they said to take them back to store, really unhelpful to an online shopper! Beans are fine, but two tins I brought had white solid pulp in bottom.
good value
