A remarkable ingenuity defines the people of Jura; an ability to reimagine and reinvent that has allowed our distillery and its working community to thrive. Such vision has brought to life this complex single malt - a fitting tribute to our master blender's skill - having been shaped by seven separate oak woods: first-fill ex-bourbon American white oak, limousin, troncais, allier, vosges, jupilles & les bertranges barrels.
Influenced by seven select French and American oak barrels for a rare balance and depth with a hint of smoke. Mahogany gold in colour with an aromatic fusion of coffee, ginger spice and a hint of chocolate; followed by caramelised peach, chewy liquorice and candied orange with a hint of sea-spray and smoke in the aftertaste.

Welcome to Jura: A few miles off the west coast of Scotland you'll find our island: remote, sometimes wild, yet always beautiful, home to 212(ish) islanders, one road, one pub and one distillery.
Our distillery was established in 1810 and reborn in 1963 to bring life back to the island and the community. And what a success it's been.
Today, almost every family on the island has a member who works in our distillery, with our distillery or in whisky-related tourism.

Jura Seven Wood. An ingenious approach reveals a fruity & spicy single malt for savouring. Thanks to the forestry commission, sawmill and cooperage in France we use the finest French oak casks to enhance our whisky creating layers and complexity of flavour. The maturation journey begins in ex bourbon casks before a portion of the whisky is split between 6 different French oak casks from various regions of France.
