Product Information
Butchers, Bakers, History Makers.
It takes three ‘must-haves’ to make a pork pie, a Melton Mowbray pork pie. First is the pork. Uncured, Outdoor-bred and British. The second is that golden, crunchy pastry baked without support (but plenty of encouragement). And finally that it’s from the area – now protected by PGI status, just like Champagne. But to make a Melton Mowbray pork pie a Dickinson & Morris, it takes something extra. Over 170 years worth of extra to make the pork pies you love, as they should be.
To ensure you get the very best experience, take your Dickinson & Morris pork pie out of the fridge to rest for 30 minutes and then get stuck in.

Brand Marketing
Dickinson & Morris are based in the town of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire, the spiritual home of the Pork Pie. Originating in our world-famous “Ye Olde Pork Pie Shop” on Melton high street, we have been making pork pies for over 170 years, ever since our founding by Mary Dickinson and her family.
Pioneering spirit.
Did you Know? We were started by Mary Dickinson who is credited as the first person to hand raise a pastry case around a wooden dolly for a pork pie in the 1700s. Mary lead the way with our resourcefulness and respect for the craft of pork pie making which has remained in our soul ever since.
Our Pies are handcrafted in the traditional way.
Our respect for the pork pie craft is unwavering. We still make and sell our pork pies in our original Melton Mowbray shop, and hand crimp every slicing pie in our bakery.
