In Chicago town, we don't just make pizza, we go to town on it. Just like some downtown genius did way back'in '43 when they raised the crusts higher and made history with the Deep Dish Pizza. It's this kind of thinking outside the pizza box that inspires us to bring you a taste of Chicago.

Love this flavour
Its sweet like most barbecue sauce it just doesnt have the added acidic background to cut it because there doesnt seem to be any tomatoes/vinegar like bbq sauce normally has it in. The base is also brown and slightly sweet. I love these.
They used maple syrup as a sauce base...
I enjoy the Deep Dish range of pizzas. Saw this on special offer. I usually go for tomato as the the sauce base in pizzas but am amenable to BBQ sauce being used instead. Unfortunately I missed the writing on the box describing it as a "maple sauce", and boy did they use a boatload of it. It's pure sugar syrup. Little bits of bacon floating in maple syrup. I have a huge sweet tooth and even enjoy a "fries and milkshake" taste combo, but this is beyond anything I could stomach. You tried but I imagine this brand of pizza will be a limited time flavour only.
Holy Sugar Batman
Doughy, and the incredibly sweet "bbq sauce" was so over powering you could not taste anything else. I've never had a bbq sauce or pizza before or since like it. Avoid like the plague unless you like em sweet- I think they forgot it was a savoury product and not a dessert...
Unusual but tasty
It was a bit of a shock when I bit into this one, but in a nice sort of way. The "barbeque" sauce wasn't barbeque but it was delicious with a hint of maple syrup and the topping was generous. Great for a lunchtime snack.
Awful!
Its not often I have to throw things away because they taste so bad but this was a rare occasion. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The pizza sauce had a very weird perfumed taste to it. Too sweet and not very bbq at all. Just all round awful.
