Product Information

Brancott Estate Flight Sauvignon Blanc is a wine produced in Marlborough, New Zealand. Our knowledge of the Marlborough region has allowed our winemakers to select and harvest grapes earlier than usual to craft full-flavoured wines that are naturally lighter in alcohol than those in the Brancott Estate range. With fragrant passion fruit, lemons and grapefruit aromas on the nose. These aromas are followed by a sweet pungency and ripe lemon sherbet flavors that change to mangos. The palate shows great balance with a refreshing, crisp and lively acidity. A stunning, vibrant and refreshing low alcohol wine. Naturally 20% lower in alcohol and calories.

Brand Marketing

Award Winning wine brand producing premium wine from Marlborough. Our story began over 40 years ago with a bold idea to plant vines in Marlborough, New Zealand. At the time, the South Island was considered too cold to grow grapes, but we challenged this thinking and planted the very first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough. It was this pioneering spirit that led to something spectacular; the distinctive and vibrant expression of Sauvignon Blanc now loved the world over.

History

Since planting the first Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir in 1975, Brancott Estate has continued to craft striking wines that suit every occasion. Wines in the Brancott Estate range are considered the benchmark of New Zealand varietal winemaking and have an international reputation for quality and consistency. Each wine is crafted in a style that epitomises the unique character and flavour of the growing region.

Vinification Details

To make this lighter wine we harvested specially selected blocks of fruit early, when full flavour ripeness at lower sugar levels were reached. The fruit was gently bag pressed and the clear juice fermented cool with aromatic yeast strains, in stainless steel tanks. This retained maximum varietal aroma. The wine was blended and filtered to be released soon after vintage with distinctive regional and varietal characters at peak.
