Product Information
Our Golden Blue™ was recognised by the International Cheese & Dairy Awards in 2022 as the best cheese of over 4000 internationally.
The Perfect Introduction to Blue Cheese
Our 1912 Golden Blue™ is deliciously creamy with mellow blue undertones. This vibrant cheese is a rich orange colour, with natural extract from the berry on the achiote tree, originally discovered in South America. It has distinctive blue veining with a mellow and tangy taste, making it an ideal introduction to Blue Cheese. Each cheese is turned by hand and matured under the close love and care of our Master Cheesemakers. Savour the moment with 1912.
Because We Care
Our dairy cows are cared for to the highest welfare standards, spending on average 180 days grazing outside each year - the rest of the time, like people, they prefer to avoid the rain! We source milk locally, from three neighbouring counties, cutting down our road miles.
Locally Sourced Excellence
Our 1912 Golden Blue™ is made with milk sourced locally from our farmer's cooperative. By buying this beautiful blue cheese you are supporting the 30 British farmers who own our business, all of whom are within 30 miles of the dairy.

Golden Bluet™ Veggie Tart
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 x roll filo pastry
30g melted butter
1 courgette cut into thin ribbons lengthways
1/2 bag of spinach, wilted in the microwave/pan and squeezed out of any excess water
1 x Golden Blue™, crumbled
Salt and pepper
Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan.
2. Lay a 50cm strip of greaseproof paper out on a rectangular baking tray (approx. 30cm long). Arrange 2 sheets of filo so they cover the paper but overlap at the edges slightly. Brush with melted butter. Then lay another sheet in the middle of the 2 and brush with butter. Repeat the same placement with 3 more sheets of filo..
3. Pinch or crimp the edges with your fingers to form a crust around the edge.
4. Crumble half the 1912 Golden Blue™ on the tart base. Layer courgette ribbons and wilted spinach. Crumble the remaining Golden Blue™ on top.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden, crispy, and the filo is fully cooked.
