Beet the Blues Smoothie

Beet the Blues with this beetroot, carrot and apple smoothie.

Prepare Ahead

Prepare a clean and clear working space.

    Wash and peel the carrots, beetroot and apple then chop into similar size pieces. Remove the skin from the ginger.

    Put all ingredients in a blender or mixer and blend until smooth, add ½ a cup of apple juice if needed to get a smooth blend.

    Get a large bowl and use a fine mesh strainer to pour out the juice though the strainer. Use a spatula to press the pulp down and squeeze the juice out.

    As an option, save and add the pulp for a thicker mix. Pour your juice into a glass.

    Drink and enjoy.

  • 1 beetroot
  • 5 cm fresh ginger
  • 1 apple
  • ½ cup apple juice
