Chilli Chicken Drumsticks

Add some spice to your chicken drumsticks with a chilli coating that'll be sure to hit the spot.


Instructions

  1. 1 Heat oven to 220°C / gas mark 6 / 200°C fan and place the chicken drumsticks on a large baking tray.


  2. 2 In a pan mix together the honey, ketchup, lemon juice, demerara sugar and smoked paprika, simmer until the sugar has dissolved.


  3. 3 Cool the mixture slightly and then pour over the drumsticks.


  4. 4 Finely chop the chillies.


  5. 5 Cook for 15 mins until sticky and golden, then add more glaze and sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped chillies.


  6. 6 Cook for a further 15 mins until the chicken is piping hot throughout.


  7. 7 Serve and enjoy.

  • 1 kg chicken drumsticks
  • 250ml clear honey
  • 2 red chillies
  • 100ml lemon juice
  • 200g Demerara sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 250ml tomato ketchup
