Peppermint Creams

Create these as an after dinner treat!


  1. 1 Sift the sugar into a bowl. Add the milk, essence and colouring if using. Combine into a soft dough. On a surface dusted with icing sugar roll the dough to 1/2cm thick. Stamp out small rounds and leave under a tea towel to harden overnight.

  2. 2 Melt the chocolate over a pan of simmering water. With a piping bag drizzle on fine lines of the melted chocolate. Allow the chocolate to harden. Store in the fridge for up to two weeks.


  • 400g icing sugar
  • 4 tbsp evaporated milk
  • 5 drops peppermint essence
  • 2 drops green food colouring
  • 30g dark chocolate
