Preheat the oven to 180ºC/160ºC fan/Gas 4.

Beat butter with the caster sugar until light and creamy. Add 2 medium eggs and beat well. Fold in 100g self-raising flour.

Spoon the cake mixture into a bun tin lined with 12 cake cases. Bake for 15 mins, or until golden and a skewer inserted into the centre of the cakes comes out clean.

Leave to cool then top each cake with a swirl of frosting in whichever flavour you choose.
