Butter Steamed Carrots with Toasted Cumin
Create these zesty, cumin flavoured carrots, for a festive and flavourful root vegetable side.
- 40g butter
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 kg carrots
- 1 orange

- Heat the butter in a large lidded pan. Add the cumin and cook for 1 minute. Add the carrots, orange zest and juice and season.
- Replace the lid and cook on a low heat for 25 minutes shaking the pan regularly. Remove the lid, increase the heat and cook until the liquid forms a syrupy glaze - be careful the carrots don't burn.
