Jam Shed Chardonnay White Wine 75cl
Nice surprise
I gave up drinking Chardonnay about 10 years ago, maybe more. They just became too heavy for me, all oak and smoke and I switched to Sauvignon Blanc. Just lately I am getting bored with SB and in the market for a switch. Thought I would try Pinot Grigio and realised their was a reason I definetely gave up on it, but read the reviews on this and was seduced and oh, what a pleasant surprise. Admittedly was a little overcome by the oak on first tasting. Not something I have been used to for a while and thought 'ok at least I gave it a whirl' However, the oak was soon replaced by this lovely buttery almost oily (but in a nice way) after taste. It is just a riot to me of more complex flavours. Vanilla and almond come through (not sure if they should but that is what I get) Makes my Sauvignon seem really bland in comparison. Probably a wine that needs food as it is quite 'heady' Already in my basket for my next online shop. Also got the Jam Shed Rosé and have high hopes. Would buy the Chardonnay at £8, got it on offer at £7.

Vitis Nostra Pinot Noir Rose 75cl
Pleasantly surprised!
I am not a huge fan of Rosé. Their are 1 or 2 I think are drinkable, but overall I am usually disappointed. This however, was a very nice surprise and not expected in this price point. I do like it served very cold though so normally pop it in the freezer for 20mins before opening. Think it would be a great Rosé for a BBQ
