ok
Ok but not as good as Morrisons own.
TRY THEM GRILLED, RATHER THAN BOILED IN BAG!
I am a real fan of good keepers, but they are really hard to find, these days. I thought Id try the Youngs offering but was extremely wary of the boil in the bag process. Instead, I allowed the fillets to thaw out, before adding more butter, and grilling under a medium/hot grill: the results were utterly brilliant, especially when served with bread and butter! HOW TO GRILL 1. Leave the pack to thaw, until the fillets can be easily separated from each other. 2. Lightly oil a baking tray, and place fillets on it skin side up. 3. Add butter to taste, atop each fillet. 4. Grill until skin starts to brown and bubble. 5. Turn fillets over, add butter to taste, and return to the grill. 6. Continue to grill fillets to personal level of doneness but do NOT let them dry out! 7. Serve hot, with bread and butter (if desired/allowed). Horseradish sauce, or horseradish mayonnaise, may be served with the kippers again, if desired/allowed.
Nasty
Really awful fish, mushy fish with a thick black skin yuck!
