Upmarket Beaujolais
This is a Beaujolais, but not to be confused with Nouveau, which is drunk young and chilled. Some like to serve this chilled, but in reality it stands as a proper red and is best served at room temperature, or around 16C where its subtleties can be better appreaciated. I found it not overly complex, but it did linger on the palate to bring out its depth to good effect. In price, a cut above supermarket entry level wines, but well worth it. I found that it had improved on day 2, and stayed this way for day 3, and only slightly less well on day four, counting 1 as the day opened. I am now on my second purchase of 3 bottles. This is the 2019 vintage, but reading about the 2020 vintage providing a hit or miss result due to heat and late rain, it will be interesting to compare this when it becomes available at Morrisons.
lovely
I remember this being really lovely when purchased a while back. So buying some more now. A light easy to drink but classy little number.
A good wine
I opened the first bottle after 3 months; the wine was well-balanced and most acceptable drunk on its own or with food. The next day it had actually improved a bit, unlike the comments of others. I had simply recorked the bottle and not kept it in the fridge. This is the view of Kevin, not Sis.
yummy
Lovely chilled, great light transition from summer to winter drinking.
Superb!
I totally agree with the previous reviewer. Delighted to have found that this is what is says on the tin! But I do use a vacuum pump and drink a day or so afterwards with no loss in flavour.
