Amarone hails from the Valpolicella hills in the beautiful province of Verona. Here, the tradition of appassimento in which grapes are partially dried before fermentation has been carried out for centuries and is thought to have originated when the ancient Romans first made wines in the area. The resulting rich, intensely flavoured and luscious red wines are considered by many to be among Italy's finest.

Good value for a wonderful wine.
This is our go to wine at Morrisons. Costs a bit more but blimey it's worth it. This is fantastic wine so please give it a try and let me know if you agree!
