History
Champagne Charles Mignon is based in Epernay in the heart of the Champagne region. Run by Bruno Mignon and his wife, Laurence, the Champagne house has been family owned and run for several generations and since 2003 has been a member of the prestigious Union des Maisons de Champagne.
Regional Information
The Champagne region, which is situated about 100km from Paris, is an historical wine region in the North East of France and is best known for its production of the eponymous sparkling wine. The area where grapes are allowed to be planted is strictly defined to ensure that the integrity of the region is maintained. Easily the worlds most famous sparkling wine, Champagne Charles Mignon ensures that every bottle reflects the rich history of the region.

Vinification Details
Grapes are hand harvested during the day before being transferred to the winery where alcoholic fermentation takes place at carefully controlled temperatures. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to round out the natural acidity, before being allowed to develop in bottle in the underground cellars of the Champagne House.

Enjoyed this!

In the past I've not been a great lover of Champagne but as it had a bronze medal thought I'd give it a go and did enjoy this. Of course, serve cold for the best taste.

Disappointed

I bought this for our anniversary but felt let down by it. It was a deep yellow colour with barely any bubbles - not like any champagne I've had before. Sorry Morrisons, perhaps it was a one off but I wouldn't buy it again.

Lovely

Bought 6 of these for New Year as far more preferable than Prosecco. Was nicely surprised by the blend and the smoothness considering the price. You cannot beat real French Champagne if you want bubbles. Really nice and would definitely buy again!
