I usually purchase Cats Best Original Clumping Litter for my 3 house cats, (one who is almost 18 years old), but Morrisons appear to have stopped selling it now, so decided to buy this litter and see how my cats would react to it.
I have only placed it within my younger cats litter trays as I know my eldest cat would refuse to use her tray with this awful product inside.
It's hard to remove anything left from the cats, and unlike Cats Best litter, this one smells because it does not break down properly.
I'll definitely not be recommending this one, and would have given this zero stars had I been able to.
Our 3 outdoor prefer this litter when we have to lock them in. We love it too. We have few uncarpeted rooms, so have to keep their litter box in the eat-in kitchen. Even when used, it doesnt smell and can be composted. And one bag goes a long way.
All mine use this litter. Very little comes out. It goes on garden. Excellent! As for smell? If you leave it too long of course it gets smelly. Have three little monsters, tray is changed once a week minimum, often longer
I bought this to make do for a few days and didnt expect much. However, it wouldve been less hassle and more eco friendly if Id shredded up my free local newspaper to use instead. This stuff was as bad as using chopped up pencils-it didnt absorb anything either. The pellets are 1/4inch wide and between 1-3inches long.
