You do not eat the skin
Now if these are a vegtable you're unfamilar with like me, and clearly most of the others who left reveiws, you would probably assume theyre something you can toss in a curry or stir fry and eat just as is. Turns out they are indeed woody on the outside and you have to bite and tug to get the meat out of them. You do not eat the skin and this is how they're SUPPOSED to be. After getting over the confusion of that, gotta say, really enjoy the flavour, will be buying more and experiementing with what they go well with.
Not good
These were very woody even after prolonged cooking. I scraped out the pulp (fiddly) and used that but this only resulted in about a tablespoon of edible flesh from an entire bag.
Woody
These did not soften during cooking, they remained totally woody and too tough to even cut through the skin. Avoid!
Surely not frozen when fresh !
they were brown dried , woody and shriveled segments of drumstick and just one bright green one in the lot . will never buy again .very poor quality product.
superb genuine article cooks great
Cook in lentils/dal and these are lovely. Eat all flesh and discard skin. Great to see this sold by Morrison's!
