I made a special dinner for my wife but it was ruined by a tinny taste to the food. Also the strength of the stock was very weak. The star is for the tin idea.
Nice idea to supply stock in recyclable tins instead of plastic: +1 star.
However, very, very salty (burns back of throat) with a slightly acidic taste: 0 stars
Would not recommend this.
Had to bin a whole batch of gravy because of this. Really wierd taste. I wish the manufacturer would taste test it at some point because this is not something you should be providing in the place of chicken stock.
Loved that it came in a tin but it has a horrible salty acidic taste. I wish I’d tasted it before I added it to the soup which is now ruined. Would give 0 stars if that was possible.
sorry I usually buy the knorrs one but once again chicken flavour out of stock so picked this up instead.
it's got a really sour odd flavour and because of this it completely spoiled my favourite recipe of..
whole chicken stewed in cider & apples by Jose Pizarro.
I do not recommend and will not buy again.
will just wait until Knorrs chicken stock comes back in store or better still make my own with the chicken carcass.
