Not exaggerating more stodgy pastry on top of the pie than there was meat!
Come on pork farms get your act together, after all these years of decent pork pies you can do better than this .
There is some jelly in this pie but not enough to seal the meat in and keep the air out, thus the meat goes grey on the outside. The pink meat inside rapidly turns grey when it is cut open. Like it or not, the jelly is what makes a true pork pie Although the best before date was a week away it wasn't going to last that long, needs to be eaten on day of delivery. Not an outstanding pork pie but still edible.
