Lovely crumbly cheese

Absolutely love this cheese and bring extra fussy this is my favourite. Crumbly, crunchy and punchy. I did buy a pack once and it was rubbery but it was a one off. Definitely remains a regular purchase.

Incredibly disappointed

I agree with the other reviews and wish I'd read them before ordering. You don't need to have been in the food industry to know that this is no way anywhere near a vintage cheese. The texture is rubbery and the taste is virtually none existant. It should be sold as very mild. I had to add a fair amount of mustard when used in cooking. I don't live in the UK and was looking forward to a lovely zingy bit of cheddar with my crackers. Total waste of money. ☹️

Not Vintage

Agree 100% with other review. This is more like mature (or even normal cheddar) - it doesn't crumble like vintage and is almost tasteless. You're better off with Cathedral City.

Tasted like mild

I've worked in the food industry for many years and this was not a Vintage cheddar. It was pliable, smoother and more glossy than an aged cheddar, more yellowy coloured than it should be and very mild flavour. I've had this product before so suspect it's a factory error but I deeply hope they're not just downgrading the product.
