Cooking Guidelines
Pre-heat oven to 200°C/Fan 180°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Remove packaging. Season the meat, place in a roasting tray on the middle shelf of the oven and cook for 20 minutes, reduce heat to 180°C for remainder of cooking time. Cooking times (including 20 minutes at 200°C): Rare 20 minutes per 500g plus 20 minutes. Medium 25 minutes per 500g plus 25 minutes. Well done 30 minutes per 500g plus 30 minutes. Once cooked remove from oven, cover with foil and allow to rest for 20 minutes.

I buy this regularly. Roasted as normal, I've not yet been disappointed in the flavour or the tenderness.

Have always cooked these joints in a slow cooker and have always been perfect all have been enjoyed hot or cold in sandwiches

Variable...
I'm a bit fussy when it come to meat, so am willing to pay a little more to guarantee the quality. This is the 4th consecutive week I've purchased this joint and it's varied from gloriously tender to tough as old boots! The first two times it was beautiful, then it was okay...but this week it was inedible. On all occasions it was cooked by me in exactly the same way, so I guess it's a supply issue. Has put me off buying again unfortunately.
Glorious Roat Beef!
We bought the Best Topside joint on Saturday for a roast. It is glorious. Tasty, succulent and good beef. Highly recommended, most delicious

Impulse buy in reduced section was perfect. Better than the butchers. Hubby has said he won't eat roast beef if not this one!!!
